This a guest post by: She’s the Geek

Thank you She’s the Geek for sharing your experience with us.

Last week MadamGeek packed up her iPhone and gave She’s the Geek the opportunity to Review her Gadget for a few days. It truly was an amazing experience and every Geeky person’s dream come true.

The iPhone is the first of a new generation of phones: it’s a touchscreen smartphone running Apple’s OS X operating system. Instead of using buttons, joysticks, etc, the iPhone has icons that appear on the huge touch-sensitive screen. The screen is enormous, and the user interface is simply breathtaking.

When playing with the user interface you can begin to believe the hype. Touch the Phone icon on the screen and the address book appears; tap on a name and the iPhone makes a call. Touch the Photos icon and your photo album glides onto the screen.

Using the iPhone for me was simply an amazing experience; it was Love at first touch and hard to imagine ever going back to a normal phone.

The iPhone is an iPod too of course; you can download songs from iTunes on the move. 8 Gbytes is enough to store 2,000 songs. Other great features include the Safari web browser, Google Maps and built-in Wi-Fi support.

So, what to conclude about the iPhone? It’s clearly not just any phone, it’s a Revolutionary Phone and virtually a must have.

Came across this by accident late last night. Couldn’t wait to tell you about it. VR+ lite is a free tool from the Internet that you can use on your mobile phones. You download, register and use it. Easy as 1,2,3
You can record a conversation with your phone and it saves it in a mp3 file. After you save it you can upload it to Twitter, facebook, blogger or email it.
Still busy experimenting with it and will keep you updated with this free App.

Our friend and fellow blogger Monique Theron (also known as She’s the Geek) had a birthday last Sunday (March, 14). We (Craig – kingross, Brentbrentsjourney and Renémadamgeek) decided to surprise her with a date at the Blue Peter Hotel in Blouberg. The sun was out (actually busy setting) while we were sitting and enjoying the late afternoon, evening out. What more could anyone ask: good food (well more desserts), good company, great atmosphere and stunning views of the ocean and sun setting? You know when there are geeks around; when most of the conversation went around technology, social media, blogging, taking photos with phones and cameras and of course tweeting and updating face book statuses during the date.

Here is a pic of Monique with Craig (her fiancé).

Yes, that is the sun streaming in behind them.

This morning I woke up and thought about what lies ahead for me for this day. In 15mins after waking up: I read my emails and responded, read recent tweets, fb status updates and answered 3 phone calls.

I have 5 email accounts and am so thankful that they all come into the same device. And I can do all this from the comfort of my bed with my iPhone in my hand.

I just love technology! And especially how Apple has revolutionized mobile.. But that’s another blog post
